Guidelines

Introduction

Welcome to Curvage. These basic rules are intended to explain how things work around here, what's acceptable, and more importantly, what isn't!

If it isn't already clear, the theme of this forum is the celebration of curvy women (or men if you prefer). We have sections for discussion, for sharing of media content such as pictures, videos and other websites, but most importantly we have a large, vibrant and ever-growing community. We even have clips for sale in the Curvage Clips store.

This is a place to express your preference for more substantial ladies, those whose weight is not idealized by society at large. Curvage also seeks to empower women by reminding the world that there is more than one standard for beauty. Curves are beautiful.

History

Curvage has been around in one form or another since 2007. The successor to FatCelebs, the name change championed the shift from just sharing random pictures to a more community-centric environment. The introduction of the Your Curvage section and the Chit Chat board gave the site a more personal touch. The current site administrator, S77, took on his role when the site was abandoned by its previous owner. S77 also runs Love These Curves (which was closed in 2019), but wanted to keep Curvage intact and allow the community to continue on without a merge of user base. For a more in depth discussion of the history please see this thread:  A HISTORY OF CURVAGE

Rules

1. Commercial Content

1.1 - When posting images outside of the Paysite Promotions forum, there shall be no commercial URLs included in the image or in your post. This includes banners or text in signatures and avatars. Nor shall there be linking to paysite content outside of the Paysite Promotions forum. This also includes image links in signatures. There shall be no advertising of personal social media, especially with intent to market your personal brand or business, unless posted in the paysite content area. An exception to this rule may be made in the case of on-topic discussion: e.g. someone asks the source of an image, etc.

Keeping this in mind, those involved commercially are highly encouraged to interact on the forums and join the community. They enjoy the same privileges as regular members, including posting non-commercial pictures, videos, and other content outside of the Paysite Promotions forum.

1.2 - Posting of copyrighted

  • Posting copyrighted material is not permitted unless in the case of Fair Use, or with the permission of the copyright holder.

1.3 - Do Not Post List

The following websites are not allowed to have any content shared or distributed on Curvage. This includes preview material and any links to said sites, actually don't even reference these sites:

  • S t u f f e r 3 1
  • Southern Charms
  • F e - a b ie
  • pa t r e on
  • s t u f f e r d b
  • Southern Charms

Any content from these sites will be immediately removed. Continual violation of this rule will result in a ban from Curvage.

1.3.1 Do not post any pictures, video or other depictions of minors under the age of 18 under any circumstance to Curvage.

1.4 - Soliciting members to model for paysites.

We understand that Curvage can be a great opportunity to recruit for your website. However, please use common sense and courtesy when messaging members about potentially modeling for your site.

If you are a Curvage member who has been approached by a paysite: if the paysite persists after your initial refusal, do not hesitate to report this behavior to the Moderation Team. We will warn the paysite about unwanted solicitation and take appropriate action.

If you are a paysite owner/operator: excessive complaints from site members can result in getting added to the Do Not Post List (see 1.3). This is a last resort and will only be instituted as a failure to heed several warnings from the Moderation Team.

1.5 - Paysite Automation

We no longer allow paysite advertising.

1.6 - Banner ADS

Banner AD packages will be sold on a limited first come first serve basis.  Please be sure to use a graphic banner (not text) and to use "http" when you link it in the setup screen. Next step is to wait for approval. Again, if it’s not approved please contact S77 to ask why.

2. Nudity and Adult Content

2.1 - Don't do it!  Curvage is not a porn site, so the posting of overtly sexual pictures, genitalia or intercourse is prohibited.

2.2 - Please note that any content dealing with a controversial fetish outside of those related to weight, BDSM, etc., must have a warning in the subject. As this is not a general content site, such content is only permitted if it also pertains to the theme of Curvage. Posting of content generally considered illegal in the western world is strictly prohibited.

2.3 - Nudity is prohibited in avatars and signatures.

2.4 - No genitalia shall be posted to Curvage under any circumstance.

3. Don't Judge People's Tastes

3.1 - Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and so is fat. If someone doesn't measure up to your expectation, please don't start complaining they're not fat enough. Similarly, if you find someone repulsively fat, please keep it to yourself. This includes pictures posted by members and pictures of members.

3.2 - Please refrain from giving unwanted health advice regarding a person's weight, habits, etc. Discussion about health-related topics is allowed and encouraged, but personal attacks and giving erroneous advice are not.

4. Don't Demand

4.1 - Don't make demands of other members. Requests are fine, but saying "Post more pics now!" is not in good taste. Why not go find some yourself and share them? Similarly, demanding that a girl should gain weight is not acceptable. Treat other members, especially female members that contribute their own content, as people, not just objects for your sexual satisfaction. Any harassment of this nature can result in warnings or bans.

4.2 - Don't repeatedly bump threads looking for updates.

4.3 - Do not post in threads which have not had activity in the last 30 days, unless you are contributing new content to the thread. This is known as "necroposting" and is considered bad etiquette. Repeated offenses will result in warnings and/or a ban from Curvage.

5. Off-topic Discussion

5.1 - Please try to remain on topic where asked. Conversation will naturally change directions, but avoid filling up threads with pictures of firetrucks, etc. If the thread creator is attempting to have a serious conversation, the thread should remain serious and on topic. If, however, the thread is light-hearted or otherwise less serious, more straying from the original post is permitted.

5.2 - The content-centric boards should remain on topic as much as possible. If an interesting topic arises in a picture or video content thread, feel free to start a new thread in Chit Chat, Serious Discussion or Lifestyle Discussion. Conversation is encouraged, but a forum structure such as Curvage's operates smoothly when the boards have well-defined purposes.

5.3 - Please post new threads in the most appropriate forum. Moderators may move threads as they see fit. Please don't create a new thread in the same location asking where the thread went. If you want your thread moved to a more appropriate board, please ask a moderator to help you.

5.4 - Moderators may split threads if they feel the conversation is veering too far off topic.

6. Respect

6.0 - This is a website about women, as such please know that Curvage places a high importance on respect for women. Actually respect for all people is something we value. While it would be a lot to describe how to respect someone, we will assume you get the general idea here and expect that you place a great deal of emphasis on respect for others while using Curvage.

6.1 - Curvage thrives on opinions and discussions about the FA community, but those discussions need to be conducted in a constructive, respectful fashion. People do not always agree with each other. This is a mature forum, and forum members must be aware that others will often have a different point of view, especially on controversial topics. Healthy, civil debate is welcome. Do challenge the ideas, but don't attack the individuals. Everyone should be treated with dignity and respect, and personal attacks, insults, etc., will not be tolerated.

6.2 - Unless a user is specifically asking for advice on a subject matter, refrain from giving unsolicited advice and opinions. There are topics which lack "right or wrong" answers and many opinions are valid. If you are on the receiving end of aggressive behavior (e.g. people demanding you post more pictures, put on weight, complaining about weight lost, etc.) and do not appreciate these types of comments, please use the 'Report to moderator' function or send one of us a PM. We will handle the issue discreetly and issue an appropriate reprimand for the situation, which may include a warning or ban from Curvage for the offending member.

6.3 - People do not always agree with each other. This is a mature forum, and forum members must be aware others will often have a different point of view, especially on controversial topics. Healthy, civil debate is welcome. Do challenge the ideas, but don't attack the individuals. Moderators reserve the right to ban members who repeatedly attack others.

6.4 - Spamming the forums with inappropriately placed links or other garbage is annoying and rude, and will likely earn you an immediate, permanent ban.

6.5 - Although there is no limit on the number of posts a user may make, please be aware that flooding the forum with a large number of posts at one time is likely to annoy other users and make you unpopular. In such cases, we would ask members to use the 'Report to moderator' function rather than criticizing the poster in the open forum.

6.6 - Harassment of other members is not allowed. This includes posting an individual's personal information or pictures of them against their will, asking inappropriate personal questions and impersonating another user.

6.7 - Stirring up drama, inciting unrest and rabble rousing is not something we will tolerate. We consider any such behavior to be general "trolling" and prevention will be enforced accordingly.

7. Moderator Powers

7.1 - We ask you to understand that it is the right of moderators to lock any thread at any time, for any reason, and that this will not be up for immediate debate. If you feel the Moderation Team acted inappropriately, you are free to voice your concern in a polite manner via a new topic in Suggestions, or by messaging the moderators themselves.

7.2 - Violation of any rule may result in a user's posts and/or polls and/or avatar and/or signature being modified and/or deleted. Continued or severe violation (even on the first instance) may result in warnings or banning at the moderator's discretion.

7.3 - If you have any questions, or would like clarification on any rule, please post in this thread or start a Suggestions thread. If you think something is missing from the above, post that here, too. The staff will get back to you!

7.4 - Please do not hesitate to ask for a moderator's assistance if you feel there is an issue that you have with another user as opposed to taking the issue into your own hands. Moderators are here to help you out and we want to keep this site as friendly as possible for all, and even if you feel it may be a trivial issue, again, please don't hesitate to ask.

7.5 - Users have the right to be moderated by a neutral moderator, i.e. one who is not personally involved in the topic or issue.

7.6  - Moderators may remove your thread only upon special request and with good reason. If approved your thread will be moved to a vaulted location where it cannot be viewed by Curvage users. If at a later time you would like your thread returned to active status you may request that we bring it back. We almost NEVER delete threads.

7.7 - The extreme fetish of weight gain till immobility is not something we endorse. While we can respect if this is something an individual is into, it falls outside the scope of our topic material. As such media depicting debilitating obesity in an erotic manner will be evaluated and perhaps removed on a case by case basis at the discretion of the moderation team.

8. Age Restrictions

8.1 - We take age posting restrictions quite seriously and we do fall under United States laws when it comes to posting photos. Due to that, we only allow members who are 18 and older.

8.2 - No minors should register for Curvage.

8.3 - Any photo posts that show individuals of questionable age (younger than 18) will be taken down at the moderator's discretion and the poster may be liable to punishment up to a full ban.

9. Video Chat - Regular Chat

9.1 - Most of the aforementioned common decency rules apply to video chat as well, including respect for others. Everyone has a right to video chat even if you personally find that other person annoying.

9.2 - Obvious trolling will not be permitted. Trolling will cause you to receive a chat ban at the discretion of the moderator on duty.

9.3 - Any genitalia, acts of sex or pornographic material will result in a chat ban.

9.4 - Trash-talking other members who are present or not present in chat will result in a warning or, if the conversation continues, a chat ban.

9.5 - No linking people to other video chat rooms. Posting your alternate Tinychat room, Skype etc. will result in a chat ban.

10. Accounts

10.1 - You can have no more than one account on this forum.

10.2 - If you are unable to log in to an old account (that has not been banned), it is acceptable to create a new one.

10.3 - A moderator may permit a member to use an additional account for specific reasons. Such an account should not be used disruptively and should be made known to other staff members.

10.4 - Non-disruptive use/possession of multiple accounts beyond the situations outlined in 10.2 and 10.3 will result in a warning and the blocking of all extra accounts beyond your main one.

10.5 - Disruptive use of multiple accounts or continuing to create multiple accounts after receiving a warning will result in an immediate ban of all your accounts including the main one.

10.6 - Accounts created with the intention of violating forum rules or circumventing an existing suspension/ban will be banned without prior notice.

10.7 - Creating an account in order to impersonate someone else is a bannable offense.

11. Health

11.1 Under no circumstance will you take or give health advice of any kind on Curvage. Health advice should be taken from your licensed medical professional only and not from a website about Curvy women.

12. Curvage Responsible Following Guidelines

12.1 - To maintain a genuine and positive environment on our social media platform, we ask our members to adhere to responsible following guidelines. Members are prohibited from engaging in indiscriminate following practices, such as following every new user on the platform with the sole intention of gaining more followers or increased visibility.
A violation of this rule is determined when a user exhibits an abnormal following pattern, such as a significantly high follow-to-followers ratio, rapid and continuous following of new users, or following users with no apparent shared interests or connections. Such behavior may result in a warning or potential suspension of the user's account.
Curvage encourages authentic connections and interactions, and we kindly ask our members to respect this principle and contribute to a positive community experience for all users.
