You aren't the only one to notice this. I think part of it is line with sites trying to commodify every aspect of content consumption as of late (i.e. reddit with 3rd party apps). Part of it also has to do with content monetization becoming more accessible to the individual. Before, setting up a paysite was the only option, now anyone can create an OF and get going. Another problem is that a lot of the feedist community is on centralized for profit platforms (rather than community driven decentralized ones), where the community takes a backseat to attracting paid content creators, since they facilitate markets. This has had an adverse effect though, since more people come just to self promote and leave when they don't see potential for a buzz. Also, since so much content is paywalled or self promotional material, the community feels dead even though it is more active than ever, since there isn't much to engage with. I'm not sure how curvage could offer a working alternative, but I think it should find a way to adapt it's previous approach to of having a dedicated paysite ads section separate from the women of curvage section. The issue is that it may split the site and lead to less activity, or it will just encourage models to find another way to treat WOC as a self promotional tool by putting up even more of a front. If curvage could find a way to balance this, it could help the site feel more socially alive while also supporting paid content.

Weight gain isn't absolutely necessary, it's just very popular among those attracted to the plus sized, because it's more to love after all Terms like feedee and feeder are usually used for convenience to keep things simple, since they often overlap with other things. At it's core, feedee just means someone who likes to be fed. Gainer is the term for someone who likes to gain weight (can be solo and/or feedist relationship). Stuffer is someone who likes to stuff themselves obviously, and this can be done without the goal of gaining weight. There are skinny stuffers who aren't trying to gain weight for example. There also are those into inflation/bloating, who just use air or carbonated drinks for the expansion effect itself. Of course there are foodies, who are just into food. There are other nuances, but it's not necessary to get into them here. Based on what you said, you are foodie/feedee. You are into food, and are interested in being fed, which is definitely a possible relationship to have. It is more niche though, so finding the right person could take longer..

Death feedists are people who get off on developing and/or dying from obesity related health problems. This can range from anything like high blood pressure to dying from a heart attack. As for whether or not it's creepy, I'm not sure you can definitively determine that. To the average person, feedism itself is already creepy. Is death feedism creepy when the death feedee is doing it to themselves? Is it creepy if it's a consensual death feedist relationship? Or is it only creepy in the case of a death feeder secretly sabotaging their partner like this? My impression is that a lot of it is just erotic fantasy, as well as bullshit. Most of those using death feedist language quit feedism entirely, long before any of this happens to them. Usually those who are serious about it to any extent are already at risk by the time they debut on feedist sites.

You're probably just not use to forum interfaces, which were very common for discussion sites before. Personally, I find newer popular communication sites like discord not as easy to use, at least last time I tried it.

I started browsing here ~2008, which was within a year of my FA "awakening." I remember the video chat room and no censorship on nudity as far as showing breasts and the like go. I remember Wilson(iirc) writing poems in a lot of his responses, haha. Perhaps it's rose tinted glasses due my newness at the time, but the site felt more like a social space than it does today. I think part of that though has to with there not being too many alternatives to FA forums as a social outlet or for content. Once tumblr gained traction, I remember this site took a hit. Another part was that paysite modeling was practically the only way for paid content to be offered, so aside from the paysite ads section, anyone that shared themselves and stuck around was more involved in the site. I'm not saying I have a problem with paid modeling or that I'm speaking for anybody else but myself, because that's not the case at all. It's just something I noticed for the selection of threads I usually end up viewing.

It's likely the forum software from invision community that S77 updated to has a mobile first design, since more people these days tend to browse the web on their phone than desktop. I'm too lazy to check right now, but if you were to browse here through a phone, everything would probably fit to screen leaving no empty space at the sides. Maybe there's a "responsive design" setting he can change so that the site detects desktop browsing, but idk.
