I've seen a lot of horrific shit said on reddit. Although from what I understand, /b/ isn't nearly as bad as /pol/ these days. Lately, /pol/ is where you get most of the assholes that would also be posting to r/TRP and r/MensRights that do a bunch of raids against tumblr and whatnot. Although considering that the tumblr users they were trolling were pretty much the female, radical left-wing yin to /pol/'s male, radical right-wing yang, it's kinda hard to say I feel sorry for them. Reddit has some straight up awful communities like red pill, but yet the rest of reddit constantly shits on it. You also r/srs which is like the complete other extreme of the red pill which also gets shit on constantly. people always talk about a hivemind but just as one circlejerk starts amongst the community their quickly comes a backlash to it and then people start to circlejerk about how there is a circlejerk (like inception). Go to most posts that are making fun of fat people, half the comments will be more fat jokes and half will be complaining that reddit hates fat people. And non-fat related, but /pol/ is hilariously racist and /r9k/ is the nesting ground of guys getting pissy that women won't fuck them (and this is coming from someone who has hated tumblr feminism since 2012). reddit is a shithole now, I'll say that. It's no longer funny and its average user has gone from internet-savvy college students that have been a part of internet culture for most of their lives to pretty much everyone else. It's monthly page views are now ~21x that of what it was in 2011. However, it's unfair to call reddit as a whole full of assholes. There are tons of subreddits with friendly and informative communities.
