Guest
This is my first topic and probably completely off the rail, but I couldn't resist it. Alma Mahler was in her prime in the first two decades of the 20th century. At first married to the composer Gustav Mahler, she later had countless affairs with famous artists and musicians (and broke most of their hearts). She was THE femme fatale of Vienna and a breathtaking beauty in a time when abundance was worshipped in body, music and art. And if anybody thinks it's all just the wasp tail of victorian dress style, take a look at pic 4-6 where she is in her 40s.
Guest forgetfuldoctor93
I couldn't put my finger on why I recognized her name until I saw Gustav's name. The following song has some content to offer while still being relevant.

The following song has some content to offer while still being relevant. That's cool  The song really nails it with Alma and the men. Of all her devastated lovers, Oscar Kokoschka was worst off. She pushed him to his limits, and after she left him he was so devastated he had a life size doll made of her by a famous viennese puppet maker. Strange enough he had the courage to use the doll in his art and made a remarkably beautiful self portrait with the doll. Few would have that nerve even today and this is 1921!.
