People make fun and just don't get it

Recommended Posts

Recently on my personal facebook (where I follow nothing to do with this fetish because I keep it a secret from everyone I know in real life), I've seen videos being shared from the FA community. One was of a larger woman with HUGE hips dancing (originally posted on YouTube intended for the FA community), and the other was of a gainer explaining how she wanted to be bigger and everything. These videos were shared many times and in the comments were many VERY hateful things. It was unbelievable. Not a single soul standing up for these women (except for me - it touched me so much that I risked exposure by using my personal facebook to bitch at people making fun of it and explain that it's meant for a fetish and not for people to be cruel).

It really hurt to see this. People just really don't understand and it's really sad. It really hurts that someone would take something from a community that kind of means a lot to me and then post it up to make fun of it and have the whole of society hate on it.

Has anyone else seen this type of thing?

Sometimes it's best to not bother trying to change someone else's mind, especially on the internet. Although if it was one of your "friends" saying hateful things i'd probably block them on facebook.

Also allot of the videos posted on FB are spam links or ways for people to generate ad revenue

You have to understand that there are certain places on the Internet where hate, negativity, and trolls congregate.  There are other places quite the reverse.  It's easy for anyone to be a douche on the Internet, especially since they feel it's without consequence.  The hate can seem exaggerated too.  You might feel that there are thousands of assholes, when in fact its just ten uber douches.

Yeah the internet is mostly just a place to harbor the slack-jawed mouth-breathers. Any moron with the use of their index finger can get on here now. Sure there are safe places on here where people express their opinions respectfully, but for the most part the internet or social media is riddled with the taints of society. Just the way it is or so it seems.

I do understand that. The point is that with this instance it seems like it's not just a place where the hateful congregate, but popular opinion. I've seen a few celebrities and popular internet figures share these links/videos on facebook like "wtf" and then their fans from all over comment very hateful things.

Don't get so butthurt about it. You can't post a video like that in the public and not expect to get shit about it lol. Thats like me going around shirtless then getting surprised when someone calls me a roid munching douche. If I didn't want to get shit about it I'd wear some fucking clothes.

Fat Hate is new thing on Social Media, see the "KFD you are famous now" topic. I had mass amounts of anger the first time saw fatpeoplehate, then when that bigotry migrated to Instagram, Jesus fuck. I realize now that these people spend MASS amounts of time slathering hate, and now have pity for them. Again, behind a screen, anyone is suddenly Chuck Norris, when would never in real life say the things they do.

Was the video Mykel Diva, or that candid video of that dude who shopped at Hot Topic doing his best Caucasian jig up to some big girl in a casino?
