riptoryx
For the uninitiated, “Spinnerette” (http://www.spinnyverse.com/) is a long-running, cute, goofy, highly self-aware, often charming, occasionally serious webcomic focused on young (mostly female) superhero shenanigans. The webcomic is currently running a storyline prominently featuring some weight-gain-related themes due to an unintentional swap of powers/physiques between the usually-sleek titular Spinnerette and the decidedly “curvier” quasi-villain Greta Gravity. Interestingly, Spinnerette seems to have wound up substantially less hourglass-ish and more all-around-tubby than was her oft-mocked counterpart. Oops? ; ) Skipping past assorted stuff that would otherwise be important for plot, here are some choice bits from this particular storyline to-date: Beyond this particular plotline, the “Spinnerette” webcomic has flirted with weight-related stuff here and there throughout its run. A few examples: Nerdy grad student Heather, aka Spinnerette, was a bit soft, out of shape, and insecure before she stumbled into her superpowers. For Heather, suddenly acquiring flauntable, enviable “girl abs” seemed to be one of the top perks of the whole situation. But this shallow fixation on her improved physique was almost immediately, perversely, and amusingly reversed on her when, in order to maintain cover for her superhero persona, Heather was forced to regularly wear a potbelly-heavy fat suit as her Clark Kent style everyday “disguise.” Long the butt of boob-related jibes within the comic, Greta Gravity’s powers seem to be directly related to her weight. I think her powers actually kind of make her gain weight extremely easily, or something like that. As part of her origin story, she had to deliberately (if reluctantly) pack on a lot of pudge while held prisoner in order to boost her then-nascent powers up enough to manage an escape. Fun fact: Greta apparently uses her powers to keep her abundant curves looking perky; without that superhuman assistance, she’s actually comically uncomfortable with the effects of gravity on her own girth. And finally, here are some other random weighty tidbits and general eye-catching…robustness. There are literally years and years of this webcomic available online, and while it’s not all about the eye-candy, there’s certainly a healthy dose of that. If any of this seems remotely appealing to you, I recommending checking it out. http://www.spinnyverse.com/ jwhales, Batman76, >_< 0_0 and 1 other
Cottonsox
Gravity Gretta's entire look is like one of my ultimate sexual fantasies. Which I guess is kind of the point riptoryx
