Posting photos with out consent. Am I a morally bad person for it

Its coming up a year now that I've been posting on this site now. Ive been posting mainly in the curvy girl compilation thread and its something i have enjoyed doing. But every time i go on social media and copy photos, deep down a feel like i really shouldn't be doing this. I know its a common thing on this site so not criticising anyone but would be interested to here other people thoughts.  Cheers

I really respect you for posting this, personally I don’t think it’s wrong seeing as you aren’t actually sharing any of their private info, you are just sharing their photos for others to see just how they do on their social media! I hope this helps you feel better about what you do, you aren’t doing anything wrong

Yes. It is. And I'm saying this as someone who has done it myself. But you know what, we humans often act in way that are incogruent with our conscience. You SHOULD feel bad, but it's ultimately up to you how what you do with that information. As long as you take steps to ensure their privacy, however, I would not lose too much sleep at night.

Ugly reality, but this site would be almost nothing without it....if and when a girl finds out she's been shared and doesn't approve, @S77 is extremely flexible when it comes to honoring their requests for a removal - actually way too flexible, but that's another story unto itself.

Moral of the story: Don't hunt down these random gals and inform them of anything. 

Also @KFD is very diligent when it comes to eliminating any insensitive or degrading comments regarding a woman's appearance or women in general.  This site has been crafted to be celebratory of women, no matter what their size or shape(yes, there should be an asterisk....but again, another story for another time and possibly even another place altogether).

So if anyone starts needlessly bashing a woman - even if she'll likely never be aware of such remarks - those digressions are dealt with accordingly.

It's not that different from seeing a hot woman at a bus stop and then jerking it from your memory later....you think she'd approve?  Okay, so maybe their likenesses here are being transferred into digital storage for all eternity for our masturbatory purposes appreciation....so if you don't want yourself being wanked to(even if you'll never find out!), then don't ever post pictures of your self on the Internet.  Ya know, free country, and all of that shit.

I think so, but I doubt my opinion will influence you. Plus I assume, I am part of the minority. I personally never post full body pics of myself on any platform, but especially on a social networking site. That being said, I could imagine how disgusted I would feel if that wasn't my intent to be on a fapping site, yet my pics were there. Plus, to me, it comes down to choice.  They were posting pictures for the intent and purpose of sharing with friends and family. They didn't think it would be stolen and distributed on a fat fapping site. That wasn't their choice and you kind of stole it from them. Unfortunately, we live in a society where guys feel entitled to women's bodies so I am not at all surprised that it happens. However, if you really are interested in self-reflection, I would listen to my woman's point of view seriously, but I doubt you will.

Thanks for the responses guys, this does confirm kinda what I already thought, its wrong but 'kind of' okay on this site. I may take these down sometime, but i will see. I respect that you took the time to answer thoughtfully.

lol, i mean... yeah no consent it is not the most correct thing to do, but come on, lets get down to earth, no harm done i hope, just having some fun, no one is making money or stealing anyone's identify or nothing else. not the ideal behavior for sure but there is a lot worse out there i think

It's basically impossible to argue otherwise. It is immoral. This entire site is founded on being immoral.

None of us are saints though. You should always be introspective and question your moral system, I have been doing some recently and it can really make you have a crisis. I am a complete hypocrite just for being here.

 

At the very least this site is not proactive enough in deleting any non-consensual porn, which is far more heinous than your average copyright infringement which is what most of this site is.

NCP is illegal in most states now and just a few years ago got a very prominent image board server shut down over the rampant revenge porn being spread. I fear that one day I'll wake up and this community that has been around since the early days of the internet will make headlines for not only having a sick fetish but also engaging in criminal behavior. 

 

Anyway, personally I don't think I could ever bring myself to post pictures of women I know personally on Facebook because I would feel guilty about it especially if her identity was found and she was harassed. You probably should feel guilty tbh. Not saying I'm better than anyone but I can't think of any argument  that would make what we do morally justified. 

After thinking about it a lot I think the board would survive if we ONLY allowed celebtrities, public figures, porn stars, and youtubers. The "your pictures" would mean that the pictures are OF YOU, not pictures taken BY YOU of your girlfriend that doesn't know her nudes are on the internet.

Have you ever noticed how much more active f34bie and f4ntasy feeder or even reddit is compared to this site? Curvage is by far one of the best hubs for content that gets redundantly crossposted on a few other similarly designed sites like the chans. We are the head of the human centipede in that regard. But as far as original content? The your pictures section is practically dead in comparison to the dating style sites (and a lot of it NCP). It wasn't always this way though, curvage used to be more like a FA dating/ discussion type site that had way more women users. Over the years we've cultivated a toxic atmosphere that hates women. Curvage is universally reviled outside of curvage. Taking down mean-spirited comments helps but it doesn't address the real issues that have plagued us for so long we take it for granted.
