Yeah...was that a whole series? Anyone out there speak the language that could tell us/find us more?

earlier in the thread I posted filehoster links to season 1, in it's entirety... 6episodes...I think mostly only a few good seconds of shots in the whole season. I don't speak german so I couldn't follow the plot. If Season 2 gets made I'll try to find it too?

Better quality here:

Timecode is at 20:00

http://www.shush.se/index.php?id=111&show=marriedwithchildren

God I hate that show...

There's also some bits in the previous episode, with eating being the focus and nailing every by-the-numbers trope like "Sitting on bed and having partner roll over to newfound center of gravity".

How the hell could people stand to watch this show back in the day? I did mention I hated it right?

http://www.shush.se/index.php?id=110&show=marriedwithchildren

There's the aforementioned episode with the timecode being 11:34

http://www.shush.se/index.php?id=115&show=marriedwithchildren

timecode is 1:15 for the above video - and that's pretty much it; the writers had to backpedal like crazy when the actress playing Peggy wasn't pregnant anymore, so any episode onwards reflects back to the season up to that point as a 'nightmare sequence' - because that worked so well in Dallas...

A weight-gain sequence that's been mentioned before involving Christeana Applegate as Kelly happens in the following video at 1:53 and the pay off is at 16:30

http://www.shush.se/index.php?id=261&show=marriedwithchildren

Thanks so much, I've not seen the show.

Another notable offscreen example comes from this episode where Al has a reunion with a once skinny cheerleader who has gain weight since, the video is below, the reunion timecode is at 14:47

http://www.shush.se/index.php?id=122&show=marriedwithchildren

I hope we never have to go through that series again, that was physically painful to provide those links...

Thanks so much! I've not seen the show so I'm not sure what you went through...

  • 2 weeks later...

Haven't written an AR story in what feels like centuries.  Anyway, I've scheduled time to write the Daphne  story at the end of the month.  I don't expect the story to very long, perhaps 25 pages but will definitely post it on this forum.    In my wildest dreams I wish I could find an artist to illustrate the story since it won't be very long.  I should also mentioned that although I'm going to try and keep the characters of  Daphne & Velma as close as possible to the cartoon version, to make the story work I'm going to have to tweak Fred and especially Shaggy's character just a notch.

By the way anyone interested in my work and would like to get an idea of my writing style, you can find my stories here  http://thechangingmirror.com/phpbb/

Oh look, a size "8" chick depicted with unkempt hair and grandma clothing from the 18th century.

Awesome.

I'm not convinced by their arguments...

I can't blame you for the cynicism, that's for sure. But, I can give people who aren't FA's and raised in a mainstream environment, the benefit of the doubt for having their heart in the right place. AND, though I don't like the method or by-product...the goal was to make her seem unattractive to a mass audience as part of the humor. Granny hair and frumpy clothes fit the bill for the intended result.

But, I won't fault anybody for taking issue with it. IMO, it could have been done better, but it could also have been alot worse.

Yeah, that I can get behind to be honest...

That was an interesting read. Thanks very much. Did anyone else lose interest at the line "While we haven't seen the movie"?

Really pisses me off when news sources say this type of stuff. Pathetic and lazy. It is HuffPost after all

I don't much care for people with the mindset of "I haven't seen the thing but I'm gonna speak as if I have" either, but hey, it gets views for the articles.

Remembered this out of nowhere. Checked the earlier pages and the original links went down and might have been incomplete.

A minute in:

17:30 and as a bonus 21:11:

I do remember one scene from the nanny where they switched her dress out between scenes one size because it was really tight

So she was actually too big for what they put on her.

Unfortunately all i remember is that it was a bar scene :(

And it was a really floral dress.

Don't waste your time clicking on it unless you have cable already. (Which someone in my financial situation does not.)

Seriously, not to gripe, but this stuffs irritating. I physically cant afford cable because i have a kid to take care of, so now i get punished because i choose to feed my kid, and not pay for basic cable? What a joke.

Sorry for the tangent, but yeah, unless you can afford cable, good luck watching replays of a LOT of shows on their website.... what a joke.

resort to piracy, tv shows are so easy to find on pirate sites that... even though I now have cable again (I didn't for years) I find it easier to just pirate a show than to watch it via my cable television package.
