  1. I mean Alabama is like one the fattest states and chubby people are regularly thought of as normal/skinny. So it’s probably somewhere at the intersection of “hey it happens after 25” and “I’m still somewhat smaller than the average person here.”
  2. Just unreal how she keeps wearing that same pair of pants. And often too. Every time I think they're been retired, out they come again. And lest we forget, they're designed to fit like this, with pleats and a scrunchy waist.
  3. lol I’m glad I’m not the only one that noticed this.
  4. The key is to watch the start and end of the broadcasts, that seems to be where they’re all standing up and in between settle in to their respective news desk stations.
  5. The other thing is those black pants that she keeps wearing seem like they might be the same pair she’s had for a while, except when you look at an older photo it’s clear they’re actually supposed to have a scrunchy waist and a set of pleats. There’s barely any sign of either anymore since her stomach is using up that extra room, but that’s probably why they still “fit.”
  6. Today they had a segment on Bariatric Surgery and she drew the short straw to host it. She’s nowhere near that large but still I wonder who it was more awkward for: the doctor having to break down the concept of BMI to an overweight girl whose hips overflow the chair and with a prominent belly roll sitting across the table, or her with all the thoughts that must have been going through her head while having to ask basic reporter questions like “who exactly gets this type of surgery?”
  7. One one hand, by stepping up from a small town station to a major metro, she’s now a much more junior reporter in a larger pond, which is probably partially to blame for the smaller camera time as they probably also stick them on writing and producing assignments. But I’d also be very surprised if she didn’t know about this (same goes for the other few news personalities that get a lot of mention here). With a quick google search of their names (especially images), this place comes up pretty quickly, as does similar Reddit threads about their weight gain.
  8. I mean it’s her job to appear in front of a camera. It’s not surprising when she has control of all the variables that she knows how to make everything work in her favor. But when she’s subject to someone else’s camera work who’s not specifically trying to do that, a floor director calling the camera and positions, and just the difference between still vs video, all that control goes out the window.
  9. Oh of course. She appears on TV for a living, so a still shot where she’s in control of the camera is a guaranteed opportunity for very flattering angles. Rolling video on the other hand, being shot by another person, based on floor direction coming from a third person, is a whole other thing where you don’t have that control and thus the difference we see. I've noticed a few of these aside comments as well but see no evidence that there was a pregnant period anywhere. She also talks about a boyfriend a lot, so perhaps his.
  10. Yeah her leg injury is still pretty obvious. Which of course explains why this was such a great year for us.
  11. Win-win. For her, likely represents a promotion since it’s to a station in a bigger news market. For us, it sounds like it’s to a reporting position - so not behind the anchor desk as much.
