I have had the same experience. Setting up an account does not give access to threads beyond the first post. Looking through settings I can't find anything that changes that.

So I can't seem to find a story I really like from a long time ago. It was about a married couple and the husband got hurt playing a sport and both the husband and wife gained weight. After the husband's injury healed, he lost the weight while his wife continued to gain. I think it was called Big Developments, but I could be wrong. I would appreciate any help I could get in finding it.
