  Well, in Poland at least ;). Or maybe in other nominally catholic countries too, though I heard it got some recognition in the US (as "Pączek Day") too thanks to Poles living there.
  
  As for donuts/pączki, my wife had 4 already and we still have like 8-9 at home.
